According to police, Montgomery confessed to meeting the 15-year-old boy on the Internet and having a sexual encounter.
He reportedly told police everything was consensual.

ReplyDeleteI just want to be a little objective and kind for a moment. I think what he did was hideous and unforgiveable. However, calling him a "fat slob" is just petty and mean. I've known Shane since 4th grade. He did something gross and should be punished and kids should be protected from him in the future. But, like all people, there is more than one side to him, and I refuse to believe he is completely evil.
ReplyDeleteThe religious aspect makes the situation way worse, and I don't have a problem with Joe publicizing the event, judging it, or being sarcastic about any of it. I just think it is small to resort to junior high name calling, and it actually is an insult to the gravity of the whole situation.
There's nothing wrong with exposing the wrongdoings of criminals to protect further victims, especially in the case of child predators. Usually, sex offenders strike more than once, which is why even the government publishes their names, addresses, and photographs publicly.

Before being a pastor was tremble at it. Hung around gullible people. Was Fired from being a Pastor at Fellowship Bible Church in Little Rock Arkansas. He would Draw comic book charters, during meetings. the creeping this about him he fixated on Homo sexual tendency. He would ask boys and men in private if they struggled with the tendency toward men, and would says many men struggle with it. He used the office as pastor as a cover to allay suspicion.
