Baptist Volunteer Admits To Molestation Of 7 Boys

Florida: A man associated with the deaf ministry at a Central Florida church told FBI agents he had sexual contact with at least seven boys during the last 20 years, according to a recently filed criminal complaint.

Jerry Nickelsen, 45, of Orlando was arrested June 4 on a federal child pornography charge.

Agents were working on an undercover, online investigation involving a peer-to-peer file sharing program when they came across someone with the username of "Greenboy200" who had 13 images of child pornography in his shared folder. Agents traced the username to Nickelsen.

Nickelsen told agents and received counseling on two occasions but he was still sexually attracted to young boys. Nickelsen volunteered with the First Baptist Church of Central Florida's deaf ministry, where he taught a beginning Bible class.

Nickelsen told agents he was diagnosed with pedophilia in 1993, traded child pornography for at least five years and had sexual contact with at least seven boys. The boys were 5 to 13 years old, Nickelsen reportedly told agents.
