Michigan: A Baptist pastor from Warren charged with molesting a 15-year-old boy made incriminating statements about the incidents to investigators, the city’s police chief said.
It’s those statements -- combined with the boy’s and text messages between the pair – that led a judge to keep Christopher Settlemoir, 26, pastor of Antioch Baptist Church and K-12 school in Warren, in jail on $1-million bond today – despite claims of innocence.
A police detective told Judge Matthew P. Sabaugh that the boy and Settlemoir allegedly performed sex acts on each other at the church and Settlemoir’s home in Warren between Feb. 1 and June 4.

Charged with two counts each of first- and second-degree criminal sexual conduct, Settlemoir faces up to life in prison if convicted.
If guilty he will never live out a life sentence...the other inmates will get him. Very sad. I know his parents and they have to be absolutely heart sick. Their first son Ryan died a year ago from Swine Flu. Now this son and the possibility that he is a child molester is more than a mothers heart can take.
