Australia: A senior member of the Church of Scientology has been charged by police for intimidating a young girl who wanted to report sexual abuse allegations within the church.
Jan Eastgate, the head of the church's "International Commission on Human Rights" which attacks psychology, has been charged by NSW Police with perverting the course of justice.
According the ABC TV's Lateline, police have alleged Eastgate intimidated a then 11-year-old Carmen Rainer to provide false statements about sexual abuse by her stepfather. Ms Rainer has alleged that Ms Eastgate, who was then head of the church's citizens' commission on human rights in Australia, told her she should deny any charges of the sexual abuse or she and her brother would be taken away by social services.

Ms Eastgate has been asked by NSW police to surrender her passport.

Priest Arrested On Pedophilia And Drug Charges
We reported earlier that Seppia was the pope's adviser on pedophilia. This was incorrect. Seppia is a priest in the parish of the pope's adviser on pedophilia.
The latest sex-abuse case to rock the Catholic Church is unfolding in the archdiocese of an influential Italian Cardinal who has been working with Pope Benedict XVI on reforms to respond to prior scandals of pedophile priests.
Father Riccardo Seppia, a 51-year-old parish priest in the village of Sastri Ponente, near Genoa, was arrested last Friday, May 13, on pedophilia and drug charges. Investigators say that in tapped mobile-phone conversations, Seppia asked a Moroccan drug dealer to arrange sexual encounters with young and vulnerable boys. "I do not want 16-year-old boys but younger. Fourteen-year-olds are O.K. Look for needy boys who have family issues," he allegedly said.

Genoa Archbishop Angelo Bagnasco, who is the head of the Italian Bishops Conference, had been working with Benedict to establish a tough new worldwide policy, released this week, on how bishops should handle accusations of priestly sex abuse.

Planned Parenthood Is Racist, Extremist And Bigoted
In 1926 Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, gave a lecture on birth control to the women's auxiliary of the Ku Klux Klan in Silver Lake, New Jersey. She described it as "one of the weirdest experiences I had in lecturing," and added that she had to use only "the most elementary terms, as though I were trying to make children understand." I assume this is what they are referring to when accusing Sanger of being a "supporter of the KKK".

Doomsday Church Still Open For Business
Harold Camping and his devoted followers claim a massive earthquake will mark the second coming of Jesus, or so-called Judgment Day on Saturday, May 21, ushering in a five month period of catastrophes before the world comes to a complete end in October.
At the center of it all, Camping's organization, Family Radio, is perfectly happy to take your money -- and in fact, received $80 million in contributions between 2005 and 2009.
According to their most recent IRS filings, Family Radio is almost entirely funded by donations, and brought in $18 million in contributions in 2009 alone.

According to those financial documents, accountants put the total worth of Family Radio (referred to as Family Stations on its official forms) at $72 million. With those kind of financials -- and controversial beliefs -- it's no wonder skeptics have accused the group of running a scam.

Candidate Rejects Separation Of Church And State
Minnesota: The first announced Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in Minnesota doesn’t believe in the separation of church and state. Dan Severson told religious broadcaster Brad Brandon, of Word of Truth Radio, that the separation of church and state “just does not exist.”
“Quite often you hear people say, ‘What about separation of church and state?’ There is no such thing,” Severson told Brandon. “I mean it just does not exist, and it does not exist in America for a purpose, because we are a Christian nation.”

He continued, “We are a nation based on Christian principles and ideals, and those are the things that guarantee our liberties. It is one of those things that is so fundamental to the freedoms that we have that when you begin to restrict our belief and our attestation to our Christian values you begin to restrict our liberties.”
He added, “You simply cannot continue a nation as America without that Christian base of liberty.”

Pope Credited For Bin Laden Death
Peru: Peruvian President Alan Garcia says Pope John Paul II should get credit for the death of Osama bin Laden.
The late pope was beatified on Sunday and Garcia says: "His first miracle was to remove from the world the incarnation of evil, the demonic incarnation of crime and hatred, giving us the news that the person who blew up towers and buildings is no longer."
Read More: Alan Garcia
Garcia also says bin Laden's death also vindicates President George W. Bush's decision "to punish Bin Laden and patiently continue this work that has born fruit."

Judgment Day Is May 21st
To all Christians preparing for the rapture on May 21st.
I am pretty sure that I won't be saved but, I would be willing to take care of everything you're going to be leaving behind (car, house, jewelery, cash, boats, etc) when you depart for your eternal paradise.
So, please contact me if you'd like to donate your possessions to those of us that will be left behind. I will see that it is distributed to those who are most in need. Be a good Christian and don't let your stuff go to waste.

Rev. Jim Moats Lies About Being Navy SEAL
A central Pennsylvania pastor who said he was a Navy SEAL and Vietnam vet has been exposed as a fraud. For five years, parishioners of the Christian Bible Fellowship Church in Newville, Pennsylvania believed that their pastor, Rev. Jim Moats, was an ex-SEAL who'd seen combat during the Vietnam War.
The pastor's tales of waterboarding and kitchen duty sounded familiar to Don Shipley, a real ex-SEAL – they were a mashup of plot points from the movies "Under Siege" and "G.I. Jane."
